About Dr. Lucy Rymer

A psychologist who believes in your capacity to grow

I work as a Counselling Psychologist across the NHS and private practice, and I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through a wide range of experiences — from anxiety and low mood to trauma, OCD, emotion dysregulation, and burnout. Whatever brings someone to therapy, I try to bring the same things: genuine curiosity, warmth, and a commitment to understanding what’s actually going on for that person.

My approach draws on a range of evidence-based models, including CBT and person-centred therapy, shaped around what you need rather than a fixed formula. I’m committed to staying close to what the evidence tells us works, and to bringing that into sessions in a way that feels human and meaningful rather than clinical or prescriptive.

●  Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, York St John University

●  PG Diploma in CBT, University of Oxford

●  Highly Specialist Psychologist, NHS (TEWV)
