Psychological therapy to help you understand yourself and move forward
I’m Dr. Lucy Rymer, a HCPC-registered Counselling Psychologist based in York. I offer evidence-based psychological therapy for adults, alongside clinical supervision for practitioners. My work is warm, collaborative, and rooted in what the evidence tells us actually helps.
About Dr. Lucy Rymer
A psychologist who believes in your capacity to grow
I work as a Counselling Psychologist across the NHS and private practice, and I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through a wide range of experiences from anxiety and low mood to trauma, OCD, emotion dysregulation, and burnout. Whatever brings someone to therapy, I try to bring the same things: curiosity, warmth, and a commitment to understanding what’s actually going on for that person.
My approach draws on a range of evidence-based models, including CBT and person-centred therapy, shaped around what you need rather than a fixed formula.
